These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the RemoteVig website at www.remotevig.com (the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
These Terms cover the website and inquiry process. They do not by themselves create a monitoring contract. Live monitoring services, if any, require a separate written agreement and agreed response protocols.
Who we are
RemoteVig provides professional remote live video monitoring and related protective monitoring services for commercial properties, typically using compatible existing security camera systems. Our described service area is USA & Canada.
Informational website content
Content on the Site—including industry pages, how-it-works explanations, and FAQs—is for general business information. It is not legal, insurance, or emergency-response advice. Features, examples, and scenarios may not apply to every property or camera system.
No performance or outcome guarantees
Nothing on the Site guarantees crime prevention, specific response times, police or emergency outcomes, uninterrupted connectivity, or complete camera coverage. Results depend on factors such as your cameras, network reliability, property layout, monitoring hours, escalation contacts, and the protocol you agree to—and on third parties outside our control.
Customer responsibilities
Where monitoring is provided, customers are generally responsible for (unless a signed agreement states otherwise):
- Appropriate cameras, coverage, and access credentials
- Reliable connectivity for remote observation
- Accurate escalation contacts and site rules
- Compliance with local notice, privacy, and recording laws at the property
Quotes and consultations
Submitting a form on the Site requests that we contact you about monitoring options. It does not obligate either party to enter a service agreement. Any pricing, scope, or start date is confirmed only in a separate written agreement.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Misuse the Site or attempt to disrupt or probe it without authorization
- Submit unlawful, misleading, or infringing content through forms
- Use automated scraping in a way that harms Site performance or violates law
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation
Intellectual property
Site text, branding, layout, and original graphics are owned by RemoteVig or its licensors. You may view pages for personal or internal business evaluation. You may not copy, scrape, or reuse Site content for competing marketing without our prior written consent.
Third-party links and tools
The Site may link to third-party sites or use third-party tools (for example hosting or form delivery). We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or availability.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement regarding the Site and its content.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RemoteVig and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Site. Our total liability for claims arising out of the Site is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100) or the minimum amount required by applicable law. This section does not limit liability that cannot be limited under law, and does not change liability under a separate signed monitoring agreement.
Indemnity
You agree to defend and hold harmless RemoteVig from claims arising out of your misuse of the Site or your violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where RemoteVig operates its primary business for the relevant matter, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer or local laws require otherwise. Courts in that jurisdiction may hear disputes related to the Site, subject to applicable law.
Changes
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
